Yes. The 4-Day Fine Line Masterclass is designed for existing tattoo artists, PMU practitioners, or anyone with prior needle experience. The course picks up from where your existing skills are and builds fine line technique on top of that foundation. If you have no prior experience at all, get in touch and we will advise you on the right path.

Day one covers machine setup, needle and cartridge selection, and foundational lining technique. Day two focuses on technique refinement: speed, pressure, angle, shading, and troubleshooting. Day three introduces design transfer and your first live model session. Day four includes a second live model session and business setup guidance covering pricing, client finding, and social media for your Glasgow practice.

Yes, and it is particularly well suited to PMU artists. Your existing knowledge of needle technique, skin behaviour, and client management transfers well to fine line tattooing. Many of our most successful graduates came from a PMU background. The instructor will tailor feedback specifically to where you are coming from.

We cap every class at a maximum of 6 students. This is not a large seminar setup. You receive direct, personalised feedback on your work throughout every day. The small class size is what allows us to genuinely develop your technique rather than deliver generic instruction.

Yes. Live model sessions are included on days three and four. Tattooing on real skin is an essential part of your development. It builds the muscle memory, pressure control, and confidence that synthetic practice simply cannot replicate. All models are pre-screened and fully consented before the course.

The course covers the foundational techniques that underpin all fine line styles: single-pass lining, feathered shading, stippling, and gradient fills. These techniques apply across botanical, script, geometric, and minimalist work. As you develop, the instructor adapts the practice to styles you want to focus on.

Our Glasgow training venue is located in Glasgow City Centre, within easy reach of the Subway, ScotRail services, and all major bus routes. The full venue address, including directions and transport options, is included in your booking confirmation email.

Yes, there are several NCP and Q-Park car parks within a short walk of the venue. Full parking information is included in your booking confirmation. We recommend public transport if you are travelling from within the city as parking in Glasgow City Centre can fill up early on weekdays.

Courses run Monday to Thursday, typically 9am to 5pm each day. Exact timings are confirmed with your booking. You should allow travel time either side and plan to be present for the full duration of each day.

Your professional fine line kit is included in the course fee, so there is no need to bring your own equipment. We ask that you bring comfortable clothing, as you will be seated and working for most of the day. A pre-course information pack with a full list of what to expect is sent after booking.

Yes. You can secure your place on the Glasgow Masterclass with a £200 deposit. The remaining balance of £699 is due at least 14 days before your course start date. You can also pay the full £899 upfront if you prefer. Both options are available during checkout.

Our full cancellation and refund policy is outlined on the Terms page of our main site at finelinetattooacademy.co.uk/terms. We recommend reading this before booking. In general, deposits are non-refundable but are transferable to another date if you give sufficient notice.

You receive a CPD accredited certificate on completion of the 4-Day Masterclass. This is the certification most insurance providers operating in Scotland and the rest of the UK require before you can practise professionally. It is also the standard most Glasgow councils and studios look for when they licence tattoo artists.

Many graduates take their first paying client within weeks of completing the course. You leave with your CPD certificate, a full professional kit, and portfolio pieces from your live model sessions. We include guidance on finding your first Glasgow clients as part of the day four business session.

Yes. You become part of the Fine Line Tattoo Academy graduate network, which includes access to ongoing advice on technique, business growth, and client management. Many Glasgow graduates stay connected with each other and with the instructors long after the course ends.

Licensing requirements for tattoo artists in Scotland are set by individual local councils. Glasgow City Council requires tattoo artists operating within the city to be licensed. Our CPD accreditation is the qualification most councils and studios use as part of their licensing process.
